Each year the Village issues a report on its financial position and activity, this report is prepared in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and has been audited by a firm of licensed public accountants. The three sections of the document include the introductory message with listing of principal officials and organization structure, the financial section which includes the independent auditors report and management's discussion and analysis, and the statistical section with continuing disclosure materials.
Under Public Act 95-950 (40ILCS 5/3-143), the Police Pension Board is required to produce an annual report to the Village Board on the condition of the pension fund. The Police Pension Fund's fiscal year starts on May 1st and ends the following April 30th. These reports are presented below.
