Jeff Aiani has been part of the Itasca community his entire life. Early on, his parents instilled the importance of being involved in the place you call home - advice he took to heart. That commitment led to more than 35 years of service to the Village, first as a member of the Plan Commission and then as a longtime Trustee.
His approach to local government is grounded in collaboration. Jeff believes Itasca’s success comes from the close partnerships among the Village, Park District, School District, Fire District, and Library District. As a participant in the Combined InterGovernmental Committee, he has seen how these groups work quietly behind the scenes to shape programs and improvements that benefit residents and businesses alike.
Jeff often describes Itasca as the “End of the Rainbow” - a place where people feel lucky to live. Whether it’s families returning, new neighbors moving in, or longtime residents staying for generations, that sense of belonging and pride is what makes the Village special. You’ll often find Jeff at local events, especially the Memorial Day Parade, where he’s known for handing out biscuits to dogs along the route. He also enjoys Itasca Fest, Oktoberfest, and Winter Wonderland - each a reminder of the strong community connections that make the Village feel like home.
Now retired, Jeff remains active in the community through the Itasca Lions Club, where he’s been a dedicated member for decades. He and his wife Linda, married for 47 years, have built their life around public service and community involvement - Linda has served on the Park District Board for more than 30 years. Together, they continue to shape and support the village they cherish.
