Business Brilliance Award:

This category recognizes the indispensable role of businesses and organizations in enhancing the quality of life in Itasca. Whether through active participation or generous philanthropic support, these entities contribute to making our village a better place to thrive. 

Requirements: Nominees must be an Itasca based business.

Citizen of the Year Award:

This award acknowledges an outstanding individual whose remarkable contributions have greatly benefited our community. Their efforts have positively influenced our community, bringing people together and creating a stronger sense of unity and pride among residents.

Requirements: Nominees must be a current Itasca resident.

Civic Excellence Award:

This recognizes individuals within government agencies for their dedication to public service and their impactful contributions to community welfare. Recipients demonstrate exceptional commitment and significantly enhance community life through their service

Requirements: Nominees must currently be serving or have served in a governmental capacity that serves Itasca.

Community Builder Award:

Celebrating individuals with a true volunteer spirit, this award pays tribute to those who dedicate their time and efforts to charitable or civic organizations within our village. Their selfless contributions have enriched the lives of others and embody the essence of community service.

Requirements: Nominees must either live in Itasca or work in Itasca.  

Guiding Light Award:

Recognizing individuals or organizations that have inspired others to excel. This award celebrates role models who have provided leadership and mentorship. Through their guidance and support, they have elevated behavior, performance, education, or employment skills, fostering a stronger, more vibrant community.

Requirements: Nominees must either live in Itasca or work in Itasca.  

Hometown Hero Award:

This award acknowledges individuals who have displayed exceptional bravery, courage, and heroism, significantly altering the trajectory of another person's life through their intervention and courageous action in moments of danger or crisis.

Requirements:  The recipient must be a resident of Itasca or employed by an Itasca business. Individuals whose primary job involves life-saving activities are ineligible for this award.

Neighborhood Gem Award:

Recognizing individuals who are the heart and soul of their neighborhood. Known for their generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand, recipients embody the spirit of community and unity. Their actions make their neighborhood a brighter, more welcoming place for all.

Requirements: Nominees must be an Itasca resident.   

Rising Star Award:

This award celebrates the younger members of our community who have made significant positive impacts in their schools and neighborhoods. They inspire others through their actions, promoting kindness and service.

Requirements:  Residents of Itasca aged kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible.
