Trees stand as valuable assets for our village, bringing bursts of color in the fall, providing shade in the summer, and enhancing property values. Beyond their aesthetic contributions, trees play important roles in purifying the air and cooling the village with their shady canopies during hot summer months. The Village actively participates in Arbor Day Foundation and has received the Tree City USA award annually since 1996.
Overseeing the well-being of our 4,000 trees is the Village Arborist, responsible for managing tasks such as planting, trimming, and removing parkway trees. Additionally, the arborist administers treatments and fertilizers to trees and bushes throughout the town, ensuring the health of our urban forest and preserving the greenery that defines our community.
