[ARCHIVED] Roadway and Infrastructure Improvements Program Update - February 25

The Contractor completed layout and saw cutting of the pavement on N. Walnut Street between Center and Orchard in preparation of the installation of the 12-inch water main on Walnut Street.

The Contractor has begun to install new water services between the new water main and the existing copper water services at residences in the work area on N. Elm Street (Center to North), E. North Street (Elm to Walnut) and E. Center Street (Elm to Walnut). Residences, in the work area, with lead water services, will be replaced by the Lead Service Line Replacement Contractor subsequent to the copper water services being connected.

This coming week, a 12-inch diameter water main will be installed on N. Walnut Street between Center Street and Orchard Street. Traffic will be maintained during this phase of construction but parking on Walnut Street will be prohibited. No Parking signs will be posted when parking restrictions are in effect. On March 1st parking will be allowed on N Walnut between Orchard and Center due to anticipated increase of traffic.
