2021 Cured-In Place Pipelining Program

Posted on: October 18, 2021

Construction Update – 2021 Cured-In-Place-Pipelining Program - Week of October 18, 2021

The crews have completed the initial cleaning of the sewers and dye testing the house service laterals in the 300 block of Willow Street to confirm active services. Final spot cleaning, televising and lining is scheduled to resume on October 26, 2021 when materials arrive at the site.

The process of sewer cleaning uses water jetting equipment that may induce pressure changes within the sewer.  Below are several tips to help reduce any inconvenience during the scheduled work:

  • Keep the toilet seat covers down.
  • Loosen caps or plugs on any exterior sewer cleanouts.
  • Cover basement and first floor drains to prevent any backsplash.
  • If you experience any odors after the cleaning has taken place, make sure that pea traps have water in them by running your faucets or adding water.
  • You may be asked to avoid flushing your toilet and limit water use during the lining portion of the project
