[ARCHIVED] Important Information Regarding Utility Bills

Unfortunately, last month, many Itasca customers received Village Utility Bills that were significantly higher than normal.

Large snowfall events early this year caused significant delays in reading utility meters. While the Village strives to keep service periods at approximately 29-31 days, last month the average service period was 39 days.

In order to return to a normal service period, customers who had a large increase last month will experience much lower bills this month.  The average service period this month is 19 days, essentially balancing out charges over a two-month timeframe.

Our goal is to keep utility service periods as consistent as possible.  Obviously, that did not occur these past two months and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

To provide residents relief during COVID, the Village Board has waived late payment penalties, so please pay what you can, when you can.  Should you have any questions about your bill, please do not hesitate to contact us at 630-773-0835.
