Last night, the Village Board called a meeting of the Community Development Committee on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 7 p.m. to discuss redevelopment of the property commonly known as the Itasca Country Club.
Bridge Development Partners requested this predevelopment meeting to discuss its interest in redeveloping a portion of the property for use as a data center. It is the Village of Itasca’s practice to provide developers this forum to seek input from board members on concept plans, in advance of submitting a formal application to the Plan Commission for consideration. The developer will present a concept plan at the meeting to solicit feedback from board members.
This meeting is informational only. No formal action on the concept plan will be taken. While the meeting is open to the public, it is not a public hearing. The public is not permitted to provide testimony. However, there will be time reserved for public questions and comments. More information on viewing or providing public comment at the meeting will be posted on the Village's Agenda Center no later than Friday, January 22, 2021 under the Community Development Committee.
Should the developer wish to proceed, they will be required to submit a formal application to the Plan Commission, which will result in an official public hearing at a later date.
