On October 28, 2020 at 7 p.m., the Itasca Plan Commission is scheduled to resume the public hearing on the application from Haymarket Center to convert the former Holiday Inn – Itasca property (860 W. Irving Park Road) into a mixed-use residential and healthcare facility as a proposed planned development by special use.
The Meeting will take place at Itasca Village Hall, 550 West Irving Park Road. Access to Village Hall will be limited to comply with State of Illinois Covid-19 restrictions on gatherings. The public is encouraged to stream the hearing live on-line through the Village’s web site, www.itasca.com.
On September 16, 2020, the Itasca Plan Commission approved new protocols for conducting large scale public hearings during Covid-19. Under the new procedures, the public may participate in the Haymarket Center Plan Commission Public Hearing through several means.
The public is encouraged to submit written questions/comments in advance of the public hearing in lieu of live questions/comments. This may be done either online, through email, or mail to Village of Itasca, Attn: Mo Khan/PC 19-014, 550 W. Irving Park Road, Itasca, IL 60143.
Members of the public can also sign up in advance of the hearing to ask live questions and state public comments over the phone. Sign-up can be done here.
In-person. There may be limited seating available at the meeting to the public. Advance sign-up is required.
Anyone wishing to participate in the meeting as an “interested party”, must submit an application by October 23, 2020. For more information on qualifications of an "Interested Party" or to apply to be considered as an "Interested Party" click here. The Plan Commission will rule on "Interested Party" applications at the time the hearing resumes.
