ITASCA-LOGO-RGB

Metra will begin an 11-week project to rehabilitate the platforms at the Itasca train station on the Milwaukee District West Line. The project is scheduled to start Saturday April 4.

Metra passengers are advised that work will be phased so that at least one half of each platform will be available to passengers throughout the project.

On Saturday April 4, the inbound and outbound platforms from Walnut Street to the mid-platform pedestrian crosswalk will be taken out of service. Once this work is complete, work will begin on the inbound platform west of the mid-platform pedestrian crosswalk.  Work on the outbound platform west of the mid-platform pedestrian crosswalk will follow this phase.

At various times throughout the project,  parking spaces on both sides of the tracks will be blocked off to accommodate work equipment and materials.  Metra customers to observer caution near the work zones as the project progresses.
