Pedestrian Improvements between Park Blvd and Prospect Ave.


The Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) Pedestrian Improvements project will provide interconnected pedestrian access along the I-390 corridor between the areas south and north of the tollway. Please check this page for weekly updates.

Arlington Heights Road Reconstruction

The Arlington Heights Road Reconstruction project will complete the roadway improvements along Arlington Heights road from Ketter Drive to Pierce Road. The project is expected to be completed by June 30. Check this page for weekly updates.

Nicor Gas System Improvement Initiative


Nicor Gas will be replacing their old steel mains and services with high strength plastic. The Village is split into two projects, North and South of the railroad track tracks. The South side is to begin on Sept. 9 and take 16-18 weeks to complete.

Nicor has notified the impacted customers/residents in the South portion of the project by mail.

Ensure the safety of your building water system and devices after a prolonged shutdown


Stagnant, or standing water can cause conditions that increase the risk for growth and spread of Legionella and other biofilm-associated bacteria. Be sure to flush your pipes to maintain water quality. After flushing, replace any water filters.

Itasca Metra Station Platform Work Begins April 4


Metra will begin an 11-week project to rehabilitate the platforms at the Itasca train station on the Milwaukee District West Line. The project is scheduled to start Saturday April 4.

Metra passengers are advised that work will be phased so that at least one half of each platform will be available to passengers throughout the project.
