Work on replacing a water main along Catalpa Ave. begins June 17. Street parking along Catalpa Ave. will be temporarily prohibited on the side of the road where construction is taking place. Work is expected to be completed by mid August.
Temporary access to driveways in the area will be provided during construction. There are a few properties that will have a portion of the driveways removed as part of the construction. If your driveway is affected, there will be a time during construction when you will not have access to your driveway for three (3) to five (5) days while they are replacing portions your concrete driveway. The contractor has been instructed to ensure that residents to be impacted by construction are notified in advance. During this time you will need to park any cars you may want to use along Catalpa Ave. or the neighboring streets. If you are parking on the street please use this link Parking or call (630) 773-1004 and provide them with your name, address, make and model of the vehicle and license plate number.
The work includes installation of water main, new water service connections, sidewalk removal and replacement, driveway removal and replacement, pavement patching, and restoration.
We ask for your full understanding and cooperation during construction and look forward to an improved water distribution system along District Drive upon implementation of these improvements.
A-Lamp Concrete Contractors, Inc. was awarded the bid to perform the construction
