Sidewalk removal and replacement begins August 1

The Village of Itasca will begin a sidewalk and replacement program August 1, intended to correct various trip hazards throughout the community. Portion of the sidewalk across residents driveways will be removed and replaced.

If your driveway is affected, there will be a time during construction when you will not have access to your driveway for three (3) to five (5) days while they are replacing portions of the sidewalk crossing your driveway, and/or portions of your driveway.  During this time, you will need to park any cars you may want to use along your street or the neighboring streets.  The contractor has been instructed to ensure that residents to be impacted by construction are notified in advance. If you will be parking on the street, please call the Police Department (630) 773-1004 and provide them with your name, address, make and model of the vehicle and license plate number, or fill out online form https://community.acdcdispatch.org/parking.html?agency=7.

The contract for this work was awarded to Strada Construction Company
