The Itasca Public Works Department will be replacing the sidewalks/curb in front of residents homes, beginning the week of October 9. Impacted areas will be marked with a pink "X" or arrows. The job is expected to be completed in 10 days.
The Public Works Departments first concern is the preservation of the resident’s property. If you have any privately owned utilities: irrigation, electric, etc. within the Village right-of-way it is the homeowner’s responsibility to notify and provide locations to Public Works prior to 7:00 am of the day that the work is scheduled. The work is being performed by an outside contractor.
If the sidewalk that crosses your driveway needs to be replaced, you will have to park your vehicle(s) on the street. Please notify the Itasca Police Department at 630/773-1004 if your vehicle(s) will be parked overnight on the street to avoid a ticket.
If you have any questions, please contact John Heimburger or Ross Hitchcock, Director of Public Works at 630/773-2455
