Willow Street Construction Begins August 1

Construction begins August 1, of the proposed storm sewer along Willow Street from North Street to Bryn Mawr Avenue to Happy Acres pond. Street parking along will be temporarily prohibited on the side of the road where construction is taking place.

The work includes installation of storm sewer, parkway drains, pavement patching, driveway removal/replacement, and restoration.  Work is scheduled to begin August 1, 2017 and is expected to be completed by the end of September or early October, 2017, weather permitting.

Temporary access to your driveways will be provided during construction.  There are a few properties that will have a portion of their driveways removed as part of the construction.  If your driveway is  affected, you will not have access to your driveway for three (3) to five (5) days while they are replacing portions your driveway.  During this time, you will need to park any cars you may want to use along Willow Street or the neighboring streets.  Please contact the Itasca Police Department to report any overnight parking at 630-773-1004.  The contractor has been instructed to ensure that residents to be impacted by construction are notified in advance.

We ask for your full understanding and cooperation during construction, and look forward to improved drainage along Willow Street upon implementation of these improvements.
