12th Annual GREEN Day Event
May 8th, from 8:00 AM until noon, Itasca residents can once again get rid of a wide range of unwanted materials in an environmentally good way. The Village of Itasca, the Itasca Police Department, Itasca Public Works, Itasca Bank, ComEd, DuPage County, SCARCE, Elgin Recycling, Working Bikes, ProShred and Fellowes are jointly sponsoring our annual GREEN Day event.
The event will take place in the Itasca Metra Commuter parking lot across the street from the Itasca Bank and Trust Company. We ask that you have your recyclables organized to make unloading quick and easy. Listed below is a comprehensive list of all materials we will be accepting on Green Day. Please do not bring any items not on the list; we will be forced to reject them. Paper shredding will be provided thanks to the support of Itasca Bank. Please Note that paper shredding is offered to residents and and in-home businesses only. If you need large volumes of paper documents that need to be destroyed please contact International Paper, located in Itasca.
Due to major changes in the recycling market we are not accepting the recycling of old style "CRT" televisions and monitors.
