The Community Development Department is responsible for administering all planning and zoning related matters in the Village.

- Administers the Zoning Ordinance.
- Receives required applications, issues permits, and furnishes zoning certificates and certificates of occupancy.
- Provides technical assistance to the Itasca Plan Commission and Village Board of Trustees on all zoning and planning related matters. For the 2021 meeting schedule and deadlines for the Plan Commission, please click here.
- Keeps an up-to-date copy of the 2021 Official Zoning Map (PDF).

Relief from the Itasca Zoning Ordinance may be sought by residents, businesses, and/or property owners. Section 14 of the Zoning Ordinance covers each type of relief and should be referenced prior to seeking any variance, special use, planned development, amendment, or site plan review.
