The Village of Itasca proposes the replacement of approximately 700 lead service lines with copper service lines over a period of two years. The estimated cost for the first project year is $4,000,000. This cost is eligible for 100 percent debt forgiveness from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illinois EPA). Debt forgiveness would result in the project having no cost to the Village.
