The Finance Department is responsible for coordinating and directing the financial activities of the Village. Primary functions include budget development, coordination of the annual independent audit, Village payroll and benefits administration, managing revenue collections, risk management, and establishing and maintaining proper internal controls to safeguard Village assets.
The Finance Department also directly serves the public in such areas as general reception at Village Hall, cashiering, information dissemination, processing and issuance of business, liquor, and other Village licenses, water billing and other revenue collection.
The objectives of this department are:
To provide timely services to all the residents and departments within the Village
Administer the financial affairs of the Village prudently
Manage the treasury functions of the Village in an efficient and effective manner
Provide timely financial information to the Village Administrator, the Village’s Department Heads, and the Village Board.
